My friend pedro newgrounds5/19/2023 ![]() ![]() I would probably be way less harsh if I hadn't played katana zero not too long ago, which is just better in every respect. For instance the frying pan mechanic is cool, but it's always a frying pan and it's only used a few times as set pieces. The core mechanics are fun but there's unfortunately not a lot of room for experimentation, the levels are almost laid out as puzzles, which can be fun but strips the game of any replay value for me. ![]() The game acknowledges this too, which is nothing more than lampshading. You get some interesting stuff in the "banana world" but then it gets right back to brown and boring, in a set of levels that are supposed to be in the internet no less. I'll give the game some slack cause it was literally made by one guy, but I was really hoping for more interesting level design and aesthetics. I was really excited for this, and it's still a fun little game, but the level design was extremely lacking, the combat was ultimately not very deep and the story may as well not have existed.
